What is FigPepper?
FigPepper is an Australian cloud-based POS and store management system for retail, cafés, restaurants, and multi-location businesses. It runs in any browser, works with your own hardware, and integrates with your existing EFTPOS terminal — with no payment lock-in.
Does FigPepper work with my existing hardware?
Yes, and the hardware cost to start can be nothing at all. FigPepper runs in any browser on a tablet or laptop you already own, and works with your existing EFTPOS terminal. Receipt printers, barcode scanners and cash drawers you already have are supported, and paperless customer receipts mean a receipt printer is optional rather than required. If you are fitting out a counter from scratch and want the full kit, a typical fresh setup can start from under $900.
Does FigPepper take a percentage of my sales?
No. FigPepper does not take any percentage of your sales. Transaction fees stay with your bank. You use your own EFTPOS terminal and payment provider.
Is FigPepper available in Australia?
Yes. FigPepper is proudly Australian and designed for the Australian market with EFTPOS integration and local support. It is coming soon.
When is FigPepper launching?
FigPepper is coming soon. A limited launch access program is open for businesses who want to be among the first to use the platform.
Does FigPepper support multiple store locations?
Yes. FigPepper supports multi-location management with location-specific inventory, reporting, and staff — all from one account.
Does FigPepper have QR code ordering?
Yes. QR code table ordering is part of the Online Store module. Customers scan, order and pay from the table without downloading an app, and orders go straight to the kitchen display. The same module also provides your own e-commerce website and order-ahead pickup, all sharing the POS catalogue and stock in real time.
Does FigPepper support product variants like size and colour?
Yes. You define option sets such as size, colour and style, and FigPepper generates a child SKU for every combination you sell. Each variant carries its own barcode, selling price, cost and stock count, per store, under a single parent product. It suits apparel, footwear and packaged goods.
Does FigPepper have a variant matrix grid for purchase ordering?
Yes. Purchase orders can be built across a whole variant range in a grid, with sizes across the top and colours down the side, entering quantities directly into the grid instead of one row per SKU. The same grid is used for stock lookup and stock counts. Purchasing, including grid ordering, is available on the Growth and Multi-Location plans, not on Core. FigPepper has not launched yet; launch access registration is open.
Does FigPepper have a kitchen display and a customer order board?
Yes. Kitchen Basic provides a kitchen display for a single station and Kitchen Pro adds multi-station order routing with an expeditor pass. Both include a customer-facing order board that moves orders from preparing to ready for pickup. Both displays open on a tablet, monitor or smart TV, either over your own local network or on a hosted address.
Can FigPepper give customers a receipt without a receipt printer?
Yes. FigPepper supports paperless customer receipts, so a counter can run with no receipt printer at all. Standard receipt printers are also fully supported if you prefer printed receipts, and both can be used side by side.
Do I have to enter all my products into FigPepper myself?
No. Launch merchants can send their product list as a CSV, or use the FigPepper template, and FigPepper loads it into the account with prices, modifiers and images before opening day. The free digital onboarding service covers up to 200 products including variants. That is a limit on the free setup service only — FigPepper itself has no catalogue size limit, and larger catalogues can be imported with the CSV template or loaded for you on a quote.
Does FigPepper store my customers' card details?
No. Card payments are processed through your own EFTPOS terminal and your own bank or payment provider. FigPepper never receives, transmits or stores cardholder data, and takes no percentage of your sales. FigPepper platform data is stored in Australia.
Does FigPepper connect to Xero, MYOB or other accounting software?
Not directly. FigPepper exports your sales data as a CSV file that you or your accountant can import into Xero, MYOB or any other accounting package. FigPepper does not post into your accounting system, does not perform reconciliation and takes no position on tax treatment — that stays with your accountant and your accounting software.
Can I sell online with FigPepper?
Yes. The Online Store module gives you your own e-commerce website that runs on the same catalogue and the same stock as your counter. One product record and one stock count serve both, so a sale in the shop is reflected online without an overnight sync or a second catalogue to maintain. It also covers order-ahead pickup and QR code table ordering. Online Store is $29 per month per store, or $49 for multi-location.
Does FigPepper's online store share stock with the POS?
Yes, in real time. FigPepper's own Online Store reads the same product records and the same stock counts as the till, so there is no reconciliation between an in-store system and a web system. This is different from the Shopify and WooCommerce catalogue export files, which are file exports for merchants running a store on someone else's platform rather than a live two-way sync.
